Sumona Chakraborty faced the camera for the first time at the age of 11. Sumona appeared in Aamir Khan’s film ‘Mann’. After this, in the next few years, she did many TV shows like Kasam Se, Jasoos Gudiya, Kasturi, Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi and Sapno Se Bhare Naina.
In the year 2011, Sumona was seen in Ekta Kapoor’s popular show ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’. Sumona played the role of Natasha Amarnath Kapoor and this show became a lucky charm for Sumona. Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor’s show ran for three years and this show paved the way for her.
Along with ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’, Sumona also participated in Kahaani Comedy Circus Ki with Kapil Sharma. She won the season and received immense love from the audience with ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil Sharma’ and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
In an interview to Indian Express, Sumona revealed that her biggest achievement is to buy her own house. Recalling the time when she was not getting home loans from banks, she said, “I still remember how the banks were reluctant to give me a loan because I did not have a fixed salary.”
Currently, Sumona is in Romania for the shooting of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 14’. According to information received from several media reports, Sumona is the richest contestant, beating Krishna Shroff, Abhishek Kumar, Shalin Bhanot, Asim Riaz, Karan Veer Mehra, Shilpa Shinde.
Sumona’s net worth is reportedly around Rs 91 crore. Sumona Chakraborty has created her own identity with ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. She has won the hearts of many people with her role as Kapil’s wife Bindu in this show.
